Decatur, TX — June 23 (Special) Receipts at Decatur Livestock Market were 1236 head including: 28 bulls, 256 cows, 71 calves, 123 Longhorns, 231 stocker heifers, 235 stocker bulls/steers, 98 feeder heifers, 194 feeder bulls/steers. Average prices $499. June 16 $491. A year ago $570. Prices on good 650-850 lb. steers and bulls were $3-4 higher and $4-5 higher on 3-4 weights. Heifers were steady to $1.50 higher on #1 and #1 1/2 cattle. Plainer calves $2-3 lower and not much demand for marginal calves. Bred cows and pairs steady. Packer prices $2-3 higher on average.
