Decatur, TX — March 8 (Special) Receipts at Decatur Livestock Market were 895 head including: 19 bulls, 191 cows, 66 calves, 35 Longhorns, 197 stocker heifers, 236 stocker bulls/steers, 69 feeder heifers, 84 feeder bulls/steers. Average prices $516, March 1 $501. A year ago $449. 50% of stocker calves were 5 weights with average prices $5-6/cwt higher. 3 weights were $8.50 higher. Feeder cattle not well tested, however the better kind were $2 higher. Dispersal of 20 midage BBF pairs bred back 3-4 months were well received with prices from $1150-1440. Packer prices steady to $2 higher on average.
